Volunteer Committee Members Opportunity
29 Sep 2021 by Richard Mulligan
Good Evening Everyone.
For those of you who don’t know me I’m Martin Brooks, Chairman of Copmanthorpe Football Club. We are one of the longest established football clubs in York and one of only a handful of FA Community Charter Standard Clubs.
This is a designation that the FA gives, with continual annual review, to clubs that offer inclusive football opportunities for all; juniors, girls, seniors, veterans and disabled footballers.
We now have over 250 members and 26 teams, which means that it takes a lot of work from our team of volunteers to run this football club.
I am sending this message to everyone to see if you would like to be part of taking the club forward and ensuring that we continue to offer football for all in Copmanthorpe and the surrounding area.
As the club has grown in the last few years and the compliance processes for FA accreditation have become more complex, so has the workload and as a result it is essential that we add to our committee.
We are particularly interested in parents, relatives or friends of some of our younger age groups getting involved. If you would be interested in joining us, we are looking for the following help:
Vice Chairman
Vice Treasurer
Vice Club Secretary
Membership secretary for 7-10 age groups
Membership secretary for 11-19 age groups
Purchasing (buying playing kit, sports equipment, pitch maintenance equipment etc.
Communications (Social Media, press and website)
Fundraisers
If you would like to give something back to your community and want to be part of making sure that our fantastic club continues to provide quality, fun and inclusive footballing opportunities please contact me to register your interest at martinbrooks100@outlook.com and I’ll arrange an initial call with you.
Yours in sport
Martin
